Happy Easter

The Easter bunny first arrived in America in the 1700s with German immigrants who settled in Pennsylvania. The German tradition involved an egg-laying hare called "Osterhase" or "Oschter Haws." Children made nests in which the rabbit could lay its colored eggs....And just like leaving cookies out for Santa, German children often left carrots out, hoping the bunny would leave them special candy.
But rabbits have been a symbol of spring for much longer. They're known to be prolific procreators, are an ancient symbol of fertility and new life.

There are many stories of the Easter Bunny and the inception of lots of Easter traditions.  For those who say that I might be lacking in religious beliefs.....no worries.  I know the reason for the season. And...if Jeffrey appears at home ( on Easter Sunday) after 15 years away, anything is possible... I believe♥
