Here we go again....

I guess this website, Grammarly, is just playing devil's advocate (which I often enjoy too.)  I am quite impressed to see that the majority of the replies are all, in some form, "Hell yes!!"  One fellow put it quite appropriately, "They continued to teach us to add after calculators were invented!"..............or did they? (cue the Twilight Zone music....)  We are dealing with Common Core aren't we and a simple addition problem now has many steps.. CHANGE.. I have such a problem with it.  Adults don't understand it and kids can't count it !!!
